BDPA Monroe to Host “South ’23” Summer Tech Splash in Louisiana

MONROE, LA—National BDPA’s Monroe Chapter (BDPA) is a non-profit organization (NPO) focused on nurturing and developing diverse working professionals and future IT leaders in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) and all digital technology fields.


Louisiana Living interviews EJ Maxwell, National BDPA’s (BDPA) Monroe Chapter President about upcoming local STEM initiatives. BDPA Monroe is a non-profit organization (NPO) focused on nurturing and developing diverse working professionals and future IT leaders in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and all digital technology fields.

In Louisiana, BDPA Monroe offers a unique opportunity to connect with others to share knowledge amongst a community of peers through various programs such as Youth STEM Programs, High School Programs, College Programs, Adult Programs, and Leadership Development Programs. BDPA Monroe also offers Cybersecurity, Networking Switches, C++, Linux, CompTIA, HTML (website/mobile app development), JavaScript, Drone Courses and License certifications.


The Monroe Chamber of Commerce and Louisiana Catalyst sat down with EJ Maxwell, owner of EJ Max Solutions, to learn more about how she is making a real impact on her community by sharing her expertise in the I.T. field with the youth in Monroe, Louisiana, and surrounding areas to develop future leaders in the technology industry.

Founded in Philadelphia, PA in 1975 as “Black Data Processing Assoicates“, today BDPA continues to enable the upward mobility of African Americans and other minorities in Information Communications Technology (ICT) and STEM fields, who may still be at risk with low to moderate incomes or reside in disenfranchised communities.
