National BDPA | Technology Conferences


Washington – Washington, D.C. –35th Annual National BDPA (NBDPA) Technology Conference was held in Washington, D.C. August 13-17, 2013. The annual tech-inclusion event marked the largest gathering of IT professionals of color in the nation which also included over 50 major corporate sponsors. Community outreach and corporate technology inclusion events included the annual awards gala, technical career fair, corporate hospitality receptions, National High School Computer Competition (HSCC), National IT Showcase (ITSC), live entertainment, plenary sessions, STEM workshops and National BDPA’s annual Youth Technology Camp (YTC).This video gives a glimpse of the beautiful people and corporate engagement activities from this year’s annual conference co-hosted by National BDPA’s Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia Chapters.

Founded in 1975, National BDPA exists to advance professional careers of people from traditionally underserved or unserved communities or schools in high-growth IT, Cyber, and STEM industry market segments from the classroom to the boardroom. National BDPA has 46 locally chartered BDPA chapters across America.

In 2015, National BDPA returns to Washington,D.C. for BDPAXL, its 40th anniversary edition of their annual technology conference and career expo.
